I am so glad you are here! I know there are a lot of photographers out there. It is truly an honor to have your inquiry about a newborn session! I'm a Southern girl, born and raised in Arlington, TX. For 13 years, I was working in the corporate world as a real estate analyst and photographing families on the side. In November 2020, I took a leap of faith to go full-time with my photography business, and I couldn't be more excited!

I live in Aledo, TX with my husband, three boys, and our sweet Vizsla pup, Palmer. I love Jesus, Tex-Mex, hand lettering, and always have a to-do list (or ten), I cherish my morning quiet time with a cup of coffee. I love a good monogram (even for the boys), traveling, and a summer night on the porch with a fresh glass of sangria!

As a lifestyle newborn photographer, it is my joy to work with you to capture your growing family.

What your child wears can add to the simplicity and traditional look of a black and white vignette. You can dress your little one in a plain white shirt, Jon Jon or dress to keep things very traditional or add a little color and pattern to the simple black and white portrait.

Keep colors neutral or on the lighter side. No bright, vibrant colors as these tend to take away from the image. Light blues or pinks, yellow, navy, magenta, rich greens are all very pretty. 

Another thing to think about in case you do like the images in color, try to coordinate your children's outfit with the style of your home. Below are some great shops and places for simple yet classic pieces for your children to wear.

Vignettes are super quick 5-10 minute sessions of your little one's personality. I will work to get a sweet smile looking at the camera; as well as, fun giggles or side profile. It Is fun to have a mix of various facials and expressions of your little one.

Though these are specifically B&W vignettes, I will include the images in color too. I have found I really love the "expression" images that are simple and capture the personality of your little one on camera. If you are interested in the color without the vignetting (as seen below), please let me know.

You can bring a few toys, your best jokes (for the older kids), or think of some songs we can sing that may get a smile or two.

The Experience

Heirloom Portraits are meant to be printed and displayed on fine art paper to last for generations. After your gallery is delivered, you will be able to utilize your print credit to purchase fine art pieces including prints, deckled prints, framed artwork and albums.

Though I believe it is important to print your Heirloom Portraits on fine art paper and displayed in a way that will keep them treasured for generations, why choose? You are also a modern mama and I believe you should have access to these portraits in digital format to share with your family.

The vignette sessions take place at an all white natural light studio in Plano, TX.
